Hi! I’m Sharena. I photograph people and the spaces they move through. My work lives somewhere between documentary and editorial. True moments, clean lines, natural gestures, and a sense of atmosphere you can almost breathe in.

I started out on the other side of the lens after moving to New York City, where I signed with a modelling agency and ended up spending nearly a decade working in that world. Being surrounded by creatives in a city that never slows down pulled me into photography. Now I’m in Copenhagen, and my work is shaped by both cities. New York taught me intention and clarity. Denmark taught me space, warmth, and breathing room.

I shoot couples, travellers, models, and interiors. What matters most is the connection. How people look at each other. How they settle into a place. How a location shapes the mood of a moment. If you worry about feeling stiff in front of the camera, don’t. My job is to guide you, give you direction, and make the whole thing feel like a conversation rather than a performance. You can relax. I’ll take care of the rest.

My favourite stories to photograph are the ones rooted in real emotion. Since meeting my husband, I’ve developed a real softness for photographing couples, and I love capturing the connections that make each story unique.
